We have moved from Dog sweaters to Dog jackets?

Why would that seem like the next step? Why would it seem appropriate to dress a dog up in anything to start, and then to move from something that is really hot to something that is then hot and uncomfortable for a dog? It’s not like the dog understands what is going on when you put dog jackets on it, and it just looks really stupid. I will never understand Middle America’s obsession with dressing up animals to look like us. These creatures are far more true and real by themselves; they do not need to be polluted by our ideas.
